University of Wisconsin-Extension Family Living Programs provide education promoting family strengths and help communities become positive environments for family life. Programs respond to community needs with research-based education and partnerships that support Wisconsin families and communities.

Rent Smart!
Free workshops to help you find and keep a decent place to live. Designed for individuals who are likely to have trouble getting rental housing. Dates and times TBD. For more information contact the UW-Extension Office at (715) 627-6236.
Free One-on-One Financial Counseling Sessions
One-on-one financial counseling to help individuals manage the money they have and begin to be in control of their finances. Individuals will learn money management skills such as creating a spending plan, setting financial goals and tracking your spending. Call the Langlade UW-Extension office to set up an appointment.
Parenting Newsletters
Parenting the First Year Newsletters – A series of parenting newsletters, geared to the specific age of your baby, information on child development and parenting from your university, quick and easy to read for busy on-the-go parents. For free email delivery go to parenting.uwex.edu or contact UW-Extension.
Strengthening Families Program
The Strengthening Families Program: The program is for parents and youth ages 10-14 and is a family skills-building curriculum designed to:
- prevent teen substance abuse and other behavior problems
- strengthen parenting skills
- build family strengths.
The program is delivered with seven sessions for parents, youth, and families using realistic videos, role-playing, discussions, learning games, and family projects. This program is FREE and will be held on Wednesday evenings from 5-7:30 at the Antigo Middle School beginning February 9 – March 23. Call the Langlade County UW-Extension Office to register.
Strong Women
The Strong Women Program is an evidence-based strength training program designed for middle age and older adult women. The Strong Women program is held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-10 a.m., beginning January 11- March 17. Call the Langlade County UW-Extension Office to register or for upcoming dates.
